We, Ghodiyu.net strongly recommend following guidelines to be followed while using Ghodiyu Baby Hammock.
  • Ghodiyu is only meant for babies to sleep on their back. Tummy position is absolutely contraindicated. Babies should always sleep on their backs in Ghodiyu. Many babies can roll from their sides onto their tummies, so they should not be put to sleep on their sides.
  • Do not use any pillow  or bed sheet in Ghodiyu, it can strangulate babies or it can also press the nose of the baby while in Ghodiyu which can interfere with breathing. Remove any toy/object from Ghodiyu before putting baby in it.
  • Always put Ghodiyu on stable and flat surface. It can not be used on hilly surface or beach as it can fall and babies can get injured..
  • Make sure that your baby’s face and head are not covered when he/she is asleep. It is strongly recommended to maintain the room temperature rather than putting comforter/squilt in the Ghodiyu in winter months.
  • If you observe any break/tear/gap in the soft cloth hammock, stop using it immediately as babies can get their nose stuck in it or else they can fall if it is big enough.
  • We strongly recommend the use of Ghodiyu for day time naps only. If you want to use it during night, you need to keep a night light on throughout night and also observe and monitor baby at frequent intervals. Always keep the Ghodiyu close to mother’s bed so any movement of baby can be monitored by mother.
  • Check the Ghodiyu at frequent interval for stability and  if you observe any assembly is loosened, reassemble it as it only takes 5 min to reassemble it.
  • Make sure that sting attached to the Ghodiyu is never placed inside the soft cloth hammock. It always need to be tied and cliped to the soft hammock when not in use. If you plan not to use Ghodiyu for this baby, disassemble it and put it in safe place for your next baby!
  • It is not safe to use a hot water bottle or electric blanket for babies or young children because of the risk of burns. Heat packs can also cause burns and should not be used with babies
  • Ghodiyu is ideally recommended for babies up to the 9 months of age. As soon as baby start turning on their sides, you should start looking for alternative arrangements.
